Joseph McFARLANE was convicted at Edinburgh Court for theft. 14 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Commodore Hayes' arriving 11 Feb 1822. Joseph stated he was a hawker (no. 276) & from Glasgow. Friends in Co. Armagh. Colony of VDL: Assigned to work services. 10 April 1834 - Conditional Pardon approved.
