Convict Notes
Edward M‘Ghie, Thomas Wilson, Joseph Gillon, Gordon Cunningham, William Cowan alias English Bill, and Janet Brown or (wife of Gordon Cunningham), were convicted of breaking into the milk- house at Hall of Drumpark, occupied by Mr Hunter, farmer ; and stealing various articles of meat and wearing apparel, on the night of the October last, or of the same, knowing them to be stolen. Mortimer, Cowan and Janet Brown, were outlawed for non-appearance. The other prisoners found guilty, and sentenced—McGhie, to transportation for fourteen years; Wilson, transportation for seven years; Cunningham and Gillon imprisonment for one year.
