Bridget McGOVERIN and her sister Elizabeth McGOVERIN were convicted at Co. Cavan, Ireland on 21 June 1848 for larceny. Both transported for 7 yrs to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Lord Auckland' arriving 20 Jan 1849. Mother Ellen McGOVERIN (McGOVERN) had already been transported in 1847 per the ship 'Waverley'.
