Conduct Record. https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-13$init=CON31-1-13P163 No 57, James McGowen, per Minerva, tried July 1817, Life. Transported for Burglary and Robbery. March 27 1822. TL. Removing 7 quarts of rum without a licence & after hour appointed by a Govt order. Spirits & keg condemned. March 6 1825. T.L. Aiding and abetting & conforting Matt. Brady. Pat. Duone, Jas. Murphy, Mich. Cody & other bushrangers, charged with murder & divers capital felonies on or about 20 Oct last, & with having in his possession tea, flour & other articles, the property of D Hornfield, Green Point, knowing the same to have been feloniously stolen by the afs Brady & others, who have not yet been convicted of the said offences. To forfeit his Ticket of Leave & transported to Maria Island 3 years. Feb 11 1833. TL. Driving out of Mr Gardeners farm 21 ram lambs into the bush. Case dismissed. Conditional Pardon No 2653. 9 Sep 1846.
