Felix Maguire, for stealing a heifer on the 5th of January last, the property of Alex. McVity, at Lighan..—Three other Bills have been found by the Grand Jury against the prisoner for stealing cattle. On passing sentence to this case, the learned Judge said, that if the prisoner had been tried and found guilty on the remaining indictments, he should have felt it to be his duty to pass sentence of death on him; however, in this case, as the prisoner's habits appeared so notoriously bad, the sentence of the Court was, that he should be transported for life: Ballyshannon Herald, 23 March 1832.
