Irish Convict Database by Peter Mayberry. Margaret McKenna, age 59, per Mariner (2) 1825, Tried at Downpatrick Down Co., 1823, for stealing clothes, 7 years. trade – milker butter maker, catholic. DOB 1766. Native of Longford Co. -------------------------------------------------- ADM 101/49/5. Medical and surgical journal of the Mariner convict ship from 30 December 1824 to 15 August 1825 by Harman Cochrane, surgeon and superintendent, during which time the said ship was employed on a voyage to New South Wales. Folios 1-2: Margret McKenna, aged 27, convict: disease or hurt, sickness at stomach, nausea and vomiting and slight pain in the epigastric region. Put on sick list, 28 February 1825 at Cove of Cork. Sent to the penitentiary at Cork per order of Dr Trevor.
