William Crozier and Alexander M‘Manus, otherwise were indicted for burglariously entering the house of Jane Flanagan, and stealing thereout tea. sugar and other articles, on the night of the 10h of January last. Jane sworn—Lives in Enniskillen; on Sunday night, 10th January, her house was broken into; she went to bed at 11 o'clock  and fastened the door with a lock and bar, heard a noise and got up between two and three o'clock, and found the door open and a canister of tea gone, sells groceries, the canister contained ? of tea, lost also a plate of sugar; canister produced and identified. Serjeant Dogherty of the police, sworn—Recollects finding a tea canister and a tea tray; there was tea in the canister; it was hid  in a field under a sod; the canister is the one be found. Mary Hughes and Mrs Elizabeth Molhern proved that the prisoners came to them with tea, in paper bags containing half a pound, which which they purchased for 1s ?d each. To the latter, they stated that they found it on the road near the town. George Spear Esq. a magistrate, proved the written confession of each of the prisoners, which was given Without either intimidation or inducement, and correlating the preceding evidence. Guilty. Sentence of death recorded, but an intimation given by the learned judge that it would be commuted to transportation for life. Enniskillen Chronicle, 15 March 1832.

Enniskillen assizes. William Crozier and Alexander McManus otherwise McClintock, were indicted burglariously entering the shop of Jane Flanagan, on the night of the l?th January, and taking thereout a cannister of tea. Miss Flanagan proved having fastened  her door about 11 o'clock on the above night, and that she found it open between 3 and 4 o'clock next  morning, and the cannister and tea gone. There was about 8lbs. in it, but she swore to only six. Sergt  Doherty, of the constabulary, proved having found the cannister buried in a field ; old Mrs. Dennis .?intent and a  Mrs. Hughes proved the prisoners having sold them tea. After the above persons were examined, George Spear, Esq,  a magistrate of the county, proved having taken the confessions of the prisoners in writing, parts of which were read in court, particularly those bearing on the crime for which they were then on trial, the other parts at the same time being confessions of numerous similar depredations. They were found guilty, and sentence of death recorded ; ... Ballyshannon Herald, 16 March 1832.
