John Vaughan McMaugh was 18 years old on arrival.

1836-37: Assigned to James Clunie at Merton.
1841: Worked on Captain Steele’s property, Yarrawal, in the Macleay River area.
1845-51: Managed Five Day Creek and PeeDee Stations for Captain Steele.

1843: TOL
1845: Married Caroline Frances Blake (1830-1919) and they had 9 children.

1848: CP

20/10/1863: John died and is buried at Kempsey.

John was the 1st cousin of Archibald McMaugh (Clyde 1838).
