Family connections for Bridget (McNamara) are: McNAMARA Bridget (???/McNamara) was born about 1790, perhaps in Ennis Claire/Clare co. Ireland, & became a country servant. She was tried for stealing money at Dublin Ireland in July 1825, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 17 5 1826 after a voyage of 7months on LADY ROWENA; She was 5'3" dark ruddy freckled complexion dark brown hair hazel eyes; she was Protestant. She was recorded as mother of 2children (maybe brought from England?) & assigned to ??? (Clayton) in Sydney in 1826. She was recorded in 1828 as servant of Major (Mitchell). Her Certificate of Freedom no.32/678 was issued on 25 7 1832. She was tried for stealing at Lancashire Quarter Sessions, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 24 2 1817 after a voyage of 7months on LORD MELVILLE; she was Protestant. She apparantly had a first relationship with Thomas (Shaw perhaps his second relationship. She had a second relationship with Charles (Meyrick) her second? relationship & produced a child. She was Free by Servitude by 1822. She is recorded in musters 1811-1825 as Free by Servitude wife of Thomas (Shaw) at Bringelly. She married Thomas (Shaw) on 22 12 1828 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She produced maybe at least 6children in her lifetime.
