Irish Convict Database, by Peter Mayberry. Edward McNulty, age on arrival, 25, per John Barry (2), Tried down Co., Life. DOB, 1796, native place, Newry Down Co., Trade, Soldier in 7th Dragoon Guards. --------------------------------------------------- Down Assizes. In the last page will found, a continuation of the proceedings at these Assizes. The following are the only prisoners who received sentence of death :—Edward McNulty and William Crawford, for highway robbery, Newry, February last; and Thomas Campbell, for stealing three cows, the property of John Pearce Hamilton, Esq. of Clones.—The 1st May next, is the day appointed for their execution.
