The Australian Indentures state that Daniel McNurtery was 29 years old. He was a native of County Clare; religion Catholic; status: married with 1 child and was a soldier and plough man farm labourer. He could read and write. He was convicted of desertion on 3 September 1827 at Cork and sentenced to 7 years. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes - Height 5 feet 7 inches; complexion ruddy: hair brown and eyes dark hazel. Transport number 190. He was assigned to Mr B. Sullivan, Pitt Town, Sydney.
