The Convict Indentures state that Mary Meara was 25 years old. She could read; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of County Cork. She was an house maid and laundress. Mary was convicted of stealing clothes at Cork City on 21 July 1837 and sentenced to 7 years. She had no prior convictions.
