Family connections for George (Mellon) are: MELLON/MILLIN/AN George (Mellon/in/Millin/an) arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship WILLIAM AND ANN. He had a first relationship (1of3?) with Sarah (Donnelly) her third relationship whom he later married. He was Free by Servitude by 1802. He had enlisted in NSW Corps in Sydney on 14 10 1800 as a private & was detached to (Johnston)s company & went with the company to Parramatta in 1804. In 1808 he was detached to (Piper)s company; in 1809 to 3company & was transferred to 73rd Regiment on 24 4 1810. He married Sarah (Donnelly) on 21 5 1810 at St Johns CofE Parramatta.>>> George (Mellon) does not have an entry on this Website as yet-added by me; although an Edward (Million) is found on WILLIAM AND ANN] Sarah (Donnelly) was born about 1759. She was tried for stealing ribbon from Ann (Everett) & Rebecca (Grant) at Portsmouth Hampshire Quarter Sessions on 14 7 1789, sentenced to 7years, held at Winchester Bridewell prison & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 5months on Fleet ship MARY ANNE also. She had a second relationship (2of3) with Andrew (Fishhburn) whom she married on 24 5 1795/6 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She was Free by Servitude by 1802. She is recorded in 1828 on 30acres at Windsor with her son Edward. On 22 1 1831 she was charged with killing a male child whom she had delivered on 26 9 1830 as a midwife at Windsor; she was found not guilty although the described circumstances seem damning. She died on 15 8 1849 age 90 mother of 7known children. [Some details taken from this Website] Sarah (Donnelly) & George (Mellon) produced 4children: ] 1.George (Mellon) was born on 11 9 1797 & baptised on 7 8 1798 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He died on 19 1 1872 age74.] 2.Mary (Mellon/en/Milan) was born on 11 1 1802 & baptised on 25 12 1804 age2 w/Sarah at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She, perhaps (as Mary Ann (Millen) may have married firstly John (Price).>>> .. [Noted an Ann (Milin) is recorded as drowned on 20 7 1802 & buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney. .. ..John (Price) was born about 1792. He arrived in Australia as a convict. [..There were many John (Price)s in the colony. .. >>>Mary (Mellon/en/Milan), also perhaps, had a (second?) relationship with Thomas (Ashton) & produced 1child. She may have produced 1child in her lifetime. ..Thomas (Ashton) was tried at Lancaster Quarter Sessions, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 9 1818 after a voyage of 5months on ISABELLA. He was Free by Servitude by 1822. ..Some details taken from this Website] .. 3.Sarah (Mellon) was born on 18 8 1803 & baptised on 25 12 1804 age16m w/Mary at St Phillips CofE Sydney. 4.Edward (Mellon) was born on 1 7 1806 & baptised on 27 7 1807 age1 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He was living at Wilberforce when he married Mary Ann (Robinson age15) on 14 6 1830 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. He is recorded in 1828 with his mother at Windsor. ++ Noted 2possible Mary Ann (Robinson)s are recorded: a.a Sarah (Donnelly) Mary Ann (Robinson) was born in 1815 in the colony to ??? (Robinson) & Jane (???). b.a Mary Ann (Robinson) was born on 10 1 1815 at sea & baptised on 9 2 1815 at St Davids CofE Hobart to John (Robinson arrived free on MARQUIS WELLINGTON 1815 & Mary (???) Came Free. She died on 21 2 1815 age6w & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney. Therefore she is not now a possibility. ++ >>>Noted a George (Millan) had a relationship (perhaps his second) with Sophia (Langley her third relationship). He produced perhaps 5children in his lifetime. ..Sophia (Langley) was born on 30 11 1802 in London or at sea on ROLLA & was baptised on 29 5 1803 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She married firstly (1of3) Richard (Millage) on 23 5 1822 at Christ Church Castlereagh. She left her husband & was with her second relationship (2of3) Thomas (Arkell his third relationship) by 1824 in Sydney. She is recorded in 1828 as housekeeper for Thomas (Arkell) at Bathurst with her children. She had a third relationship with George (Millan his first relationship)-whom she may have married. She died on 18 2 1887 age84 mother of perhaps 4children at Hartley. ..Details of (Sophia (Langley)s family are given in entry for Mary (Gittos LADY JULIANA 1790) on this Website. ..George (Millan) & Sophia (Langley) produced at least 1child: ..1.Isabella (Millan) was born on 19 7 1830 at Sydney & baptised on 10 12 1830 at Scotts Kirk Sydney.
