19/10/1833 Staffordshire Advertiser Staffordshire, England: William Mellor was charged with stealing in the dwelling-house of Joseph Wilshaw, at Cheddleton, two sovereigns, and 3l.9s. in silver, his property. Guilty. 14 years. William Mellor was listed as being 33 years old on arrival in VDL - He was born at Chaddleton/or Cheddleton. Goal Report: Dissipated character parents honest has a Brother transported. William was 5'2¾" tall, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, reddish whiskers, light hazel eyes, small scar on fore ?? left hand, scar over right eyebrow. Married with 4 children, wife Charlotte at Abbott Bromley. Also states: A widower with 2 children. 1835 Muster: Assigned to R. Willis Esq. 15/5/1839: TOL
