Thomas Melsom (Melson/Milsom) was born in Glostershire abt 1812. Trade a Groom. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) as a convict for horse stealing (tried with Wm Rundle). Life sentence. Aged 21yrs. Single man. Arrived 9 May 1834. Assignments in Colony. Ticket of Leave approved.

May have also been known as Thomas 'Milsom'. This person may have married an Irish famine orphan named Mary McReady who was shipped from Ireland to Port Phillip on the ship 'Derwent'.
