Bury and Norwich Post Suffolk, England 7 Apr 1824. SUFFOLK LENT ASSIZES. Richard Melton and Wm. Saunders, for burglariously entering the house of Mr. John Wheeler, of Stanstead, and stealing a pair of stockings, two yards of faustian, and other articles. William Saunders was also on board. Rchard Melton was 23 years old on arrival. Native Place: Suffolk. Richard was 5'6 tall, light blue eyes, brown hair, pale complexion. Assigned to B. Warby, Airds. 1833: TOL Parramatta. No date: Permission to marry Elizabeth Goldsmith, (Earl of Liverpool) Age 29, Sentence: 7 years; Condition: Free; Widow - Richard was 37 and had a TOL. 15/5/1838: Married at St. John's, Parramatta. 1833: Eleanor Wood Goldsmith, Step-daughter. No Registration of marriage on the NSW BDM. Also no date of death for Richard. 1/8/1840: CP
