Ninian was 23 years old on arrival in NSW. Assigned to Lieutenant William Caswell, Port Stephens and made furniture for Caswell's wife Susan. 1838: TOL Maitland 3/9/1840: COF In the 1840's Ninian set up as a cabinet maker. 1841: married Catherine Hayes (1820-1879) and they had 6 children. 1895: Ninian died at Newtown, Sydney.
