Edward married Mary Elizabeth Russell (per Mary Ann 1791) on 24/12/1791 in Sydney Town. Witnesses were William Bransby (per Surprize 1790) and Sophia Parker. Edward was granted 30 acres at North Richmond. By 1828 he had acquired adjoining land parcels totalling 140 acres. Edward & Mary Merrick are buried at St. Peters cemetery Richmond.
