Twenty seven prisoners deemed to fall into "second class" were disembarked in Hobart and granted tickets of leave on landing and the remainder were disembarked at Geelong with conditional pardons. Sailed from Woolwich on 6 October 1851 under surgeon W. McCrae with 196 female convicts, landing on 26 January 1852.

Cardiff and Merthyr Guardian, Glamorgan, Monmouth, and Brecon Gazette Glamorgan, Wales 4 Mar 1848 THE MURDER IN WHITMORE LANE, CARDIFF John Griffiths, alias Swansea Jack, aged 20, boat- man, Alexander Thomas, alias Alec the Devil, aged 19, boatman, Maria, Meyrick, aged 23, singlewoman, and Bridget Kelly, aged 23, singlewoman, were charged with having, at Cardiff, on Saturday night, October 30th, feloniously, wilfully, and of their malice aforethought, killed and murdered one William Morrison. And James Jones, aged 18, boatman, Alfred Burrows, aged 22, boatman, and Mary Williams, aged 24 single woman, were charged having aided and abetted in the commission of the murder. No ship found for John Griffiths. Alexander Thomas arrived WA per ‘Scindian’ 1850. Bridget Kelly arrived VDL per 'Aurora' 1851 Maria Meyrick was listed as 26 years old on arrival. Place of Birth: Cardiff, Wales. Maria was literate, single, protestant, 5'1" tall, brown hair, hazel eyes, dark complexion, nose has been broken, JC MM & DM inside lower {X: lef} right arm GJ RW & AD inside lower left arm. 1852: Assigned to P. G. Emmett 1852: Assigned to John Andrews 19/7/1852: Married Samuel Davenport (Nile 1850) at the Independent Chapel, Hobart. Maria was 26 and Samuel 27. Maria listed as Heyrick. 8//5/1855: TOL 22/7/1856: CP 18/2/1858: Free Certificate. No death found for Maria - 11/10/1880: Samuel Davenport, aged 51, labourer, widower - married Catherine Boucher, 40, a widow, at the Primitive Methodist Mission House, Penguin. Registered at Ulverstone.
