Westmoreland Ship’s Medical Journal. From the notes of the Surgeon. Name; Michael Cavenagh. Aged; 56 years old. "Has the appearance of a broken down old man, he expected not to have been sent out to Sydney. " he and his countrymen have a great attachment to their country and for the political convictions in particular considered thy have done nothing to deserve transportation. Disease; Dysentery. Admitted to the ship's Hospital on the 17 June and died on the 5 July 1838.
