Assignments in Colony of VDL. 1827: a Turnkey at Launceston - drunk - placed in the Stocks. 1828: a Constable - gross dereliction of his duties. Fined. Conditional Pardon no. 291 22/08/1831 Free Certificate no. 359 06/07/1838




Partners in Crime Paul MIlkins his brother William, Frances Hares and William Cox were arrested for housebreaking and stealing They were tried at the Lent Assizes held at Taunton on 3rd April 1824. The case against William Milkins and Frances Hares were discharged. Paul Milkins & William Cox were sentenced to death on the 3rd May 1824 but later reprieved and both transported to Van Dieman's Land for life on the Princess Charlotte.
