Alexander Miller indicted for burglary in the dwellinghouse of Peter M'Guire, at Mourne, parish of Kilkeel Tuesday, August, and stealing therefrom, watch, two coats, and several articles belonging his wife. Prisoner was was acquitted of the burglary, but found guilty stealing. ... The Prisoners found guilty during the Assizes were then ordered be brought forward, when the following sentences were pronounced :Alexander Miller, found guilty of stealing in the dwelling-house of Peter Maguire, to be hanged. Dublin Evening Post 27 Aug 1816.

Alexander Miller, Ship Pilot, 1817, age 22, Tried at Down Co. 1816. Life. Native of Killowen Mtns Down Co. Trade – Butcher. Alexander Miller (27), 5ft. 0in. dark complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, 28 years of age, tried at County Down, 181G, sentence life, arrived in this Colony per Elizabeth Henrietta, May 1820, a butcher, absconded from the service of Thomas Tremble, Pitt Water, about the 14th Sept. 1824. —£2 Reward. Hobart town Gazette, 3 June 1825. A reward of two pounds each is advertised by the Police Magistrate, for the apprehension of the following runaways, viz :- Alexander Miller, Elizabeth Henrietta, Hobart Town Courier, 28 Mar 1829. Alexander Miller. 5 feet 9, brown hair, grey eyes, aged 35, a butcher, tried in the county of Down in August 1816, sentence life per Pilot, to Sydney and Elizabeth Henrietta, native of Ireland, absconded from public works Launceston, in Nov. 1831.
