Hulk Records. HO-9-4_1 Woolwich hulks- Prudentia/Retribution and Justitia. Page 39/50 Received the 25 June 1810. George Miller, age 19, Theft, Tried Edinburgh, 15 June 1810. NSW 14 years. Transported 27 Feb 1811. --------------------------------------------------------------- Monday April 23. George Miller, plumber, and James Bennet, weaver, both in Glasgow, for theft and reset theft, were brought to the bar, and pleaded not guilty. The libel was, by a plurality of voices, found not proven against Bennett, whereupon he was dismissed from the bar ; but found proven Miller, who was sentenced to executed Glasgow, on Wednesday the 30th of May next. he has been respited.  The Scots Magazine, 1 May 1810 A respite, during his Majesty's pleasure has been received for George Miller, who received sentence of death at the last circuit court, Glasgow, for house-breaking and theft.
