Enlisted with 7th Company of the Coldstream Guards on December 21st 1788. In March 1791 was 22 years of age, 5 feet 10 1/2 inches high, by trade a bricklayer, born at Alcester, Warwickshire. Petition was made by his superior officer Captain Hengate. Crime was committed jointly with fellow soldier Terence McFarlane an Irishman.
