James Abbott and Waller Milton, charged with having stolen two pockets of hops at Plumpstead remanded till next assizes. Kentish Weekly Post, 23 March 1819.  Walter Milton and James Abbott, who stood indicted of felony at the last Sessions, but owing to material witness for the 'prosecution being absent through  illness, they were ordered to remain in gaol, and take their trial at the present Assizes, They were both found guilty and sentenced to be transported 7 years. Kentish Weekly Post, 6 Aug 1819.
