David MITCHELL was convicted at the CCC, London on 1 March 1841 for Larceny - stealing a coat. A previous conviction. 7 yr transportation sentence. Hulk Report: "good". Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'David Clarke' arriving 4 Oct 1841. Single man; aged 35 yrs; a bricklayer; 5'5 1/2" height; Protestant; can read & write; ruddy complexion; black hair; dk Hazel eyes. Native place of birth: Kent, England.
