Family connections for Joseph (Molloy) are: MOLLOY Joseph (Molloy) was tried at probably Old Bailey on 14 7 1813, sentenced to 7years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW on 27 1 1815 after a voyage of 6months on MARQUIS OF WELLINGTON. He was sent to Hobart Town in December 1816 on KANGAROO. He lived in a house in Macquarie St in 1819 next to Mary Ann (Peck/Cockerill) - both receiving compensation when the land was needed for St Davids CofE church in 1819. He received land on corner Elizabeth/Brisbane Streets, still next door to Mary Ann. In 1823 he was convicted again, sentenced to 3years & sent to Macquarie Harbour. He had a relationship with Mary Ann (Peck her third relationship). He was recorded as the father of Mary Ann's 2children in 1827 in a census of children. He died on 10 5 1844, leaving the Elizabeth St property to Mrs Elizabeth (Reynolds). Some details taken from this Website. Mary Ann (Peck) was born on 21/4 7 1796 at Prospect Hill Sydney (Ref:'People...' shows her born on 21 12 1793 see Elizabeth above) & baptised on 21 8 1796 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. On 30 3 1793 she was taken to Norfolk Island by her parents. She was recorded in February 1805 off stores on Norfolk Island. She had relationship/s. She married secondly (2of3) William J (Cockerill) on 11 9 1816 at St Davids CofE Hobart. She is recorded in 1819 with her children, but not her husband; she lived in a house in Macquarie St next to Joseph (Molloy)-both receiving compensation when the land was needed for St Davids CofE church in 1819. She received 19perches on corner Elizabeth/Brisbane Streets, complete with rebuilding of dwelling (a skillett), still next door to Joseph. She lived in her own dwelling when with Joseph (Molloy). She died on 2 5 1831 age35 mother of 2known children & was buried at St Davids CofE Hobart variously named as (Cockerill & Peck); leaving her Elizabeth St property to her brother John.
