1828 Census Index. Andrew Monks, age 48, G.S. Guildford 1817, Life, protestant, Watchman, H.C. Antill, Camden district. -------------------------------------------------- Is the following a refenence to the same person? FIVE POUNDS REWARD, for a Bay HORSE, now rising three years old, and branded when stolen C on the off side of the neck, off hind foot white, and star in forehead. I have heard that the above horse was stolen from Mr. George Thompson's run, Snowy River, Moneroo, some time in February, 1841, and that the brand on the neck was altered into B; likewise that he was docked, broken in, and sold to one Andrew Monks, who has taken him to Bathurst, and branded him A M. I hereby offer a reward of Five Pounds to any person taking charge of the Colt for me. Any letter addressed to me at Mr. James Taylor's, near Mr. Thompson's, Snowy River, Moneroo, will find me.
