On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. 1824, 8 October: Maurice MOONEY or MOROONY arrived at Port Macquarie, per the Cutter Sally, having been sentenced by Mr Brabyn Esq. of the Bench at Windsor, on 16 September, 1824, to serve the remainder of his original sentence there. He was released on 20 June 1825, the date of issue of his Certificate of Freedom (see below) (see New South Wales, Australia, Convict Records, 1810-1891; Port Macquarie Penal Settlement; Port Macquarie: List of Convicts, 1822-1825). 1825, 20 June: Maurice MOONEY or MOROONY – Certificate of Freedom #59/3902 – Mary (1) 1819; tried Cork City, Summer 1818, 7 years; native place City of Limerick; labourer; 24; 5’6¼”, sallow freckled complexion, sandy brown hair, hazel eyes. Remarks: "Sent [meaning the date this sentence was passed/handed down] to Port Macquarie 16 September 1824 for the remainder of his original sentence for a robbery" (see New South Wales, Australia, Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1814, 1827-1867). 1827, 18 September: Maurice MOONEY – issued with a replacement Certificate of Freedom #27/903.

Per "Mary", 1819 1824 Oct 8: On list of convicts transported to Port Macquarie per "Sally" (Reel 6019; 4/3864 pp.488-9) 20/6/1825: COF 18/9/1827: COF renewed - 5'6¼" tall, aged 27, was sent to Port Macquarie 16/9/1824 for the remainder of his original sentence for a robbery.
