When George Moore (convict) was born on 23 April 1809 in Markfield, Leicestershire, his father, George, was 46 and his mother, Ann, was 28. He married Sarah Smith on 1 August 1860 in Launceston, Tasmania. They had nine children in 17 years. He died in 1891 in Tasmania having lived a long life of 82 years, and was buried there.
