Family connections for Elizabeth (Morris) are: MORRIS Elizabeth (Morris) daughter of John (Morris) & Sarah (Collins) was born on 31 7 1775. In about 1785 she was acquitted of felony at Bristol Gloucestershire. She was tried for grand larceny w/2adults at Bristol Sessions Oyer & Terminer Commission on 5 4 1790 (one ref. shows her as age12), sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 5months on Fleet ship MARY ANN/E. About 1792 she associated firstly (1of4) with John/Jhyn (Dalton age16) & produced 1child. She was Free by Servitude by 1799. When her second husband died she took over running of farm with children Hannah, William & John; & convict Murtagh/Murty (Shields) was apparantly assigned to her.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] John (Dalton) was born about 1776. He was tried for stealing w/1other child cotton shawl of Edward (Fellows), on 30 9 1787, at Old Bailey on 27 10 1787, sentenced to 7years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship ALBERMARLE. On 15 11 1794 he sailed as a crewman on SALAMANDER, headed for Norfolk Island, India & Europe. A John (Dalton) from ALBERMARLE is recorded as arriving on Norfolk Island on 27 1 1796 (an Ann (Dalton) is there also. [Some details taken from this Website] .. >>>Elizabeth (Morris) married secondly (2of4) William (Kentwell) on 4 1 1796 at St Johns CofE Parramatta & produced 5children.>>> William (Kentwell) son of Richard (Kentwell) & Martha (Capper) was born on 23 3 1761 in Middlesex & baptised in 1765 age about4 at St Marylebone Middlesex & lived at St Giles Cripplegate near Covent Garden. He was tried for stealing linen etc with force of arms at Middlesex in 1788, sentenced to 7years, held on hulks & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship ADMIRAL BARRINGTON. In 1796 his sentence was expired & he was granted 60acres near (now) Pendle Hill Railway Station. He was Free by Servitude by 1799. In 1800 he was recorded as free farming 15acres at Toongabbie, He became a prosperous farmer; in 1805 he was elected trustee for 9acre Prospect pasturing Common. In 1806 he had 75acres & employed 1convict Lawrence (Kirwi/an [no entry on this Website as yet]). He became a member of Association of (Emancipated) Settlers. He died on 1 8 1809 age48 drowned w/7others in floods of Nepean River near Windsor while crossing with horses. He married in England & produced 6children, none of whom apparantly came to Australia. He was tried for horse theft in Kilkenny Ireland, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 21 2 1801 after a voyage of 8months on ANNE/LUZ ST ANNA. He was apparantly assigned to Elizabeth (Morris) after 1809. He was granted land in 1821. He was recorded as a labourer at Castle Hill in 1827. He died on 8 7 1836 age75 father of 7children. [Some details taken from this Website] .. >>>Elizabeth (Morris) had a fourth relationship with Thomas (Thompkins), produced 2children & married him (ages recorded as her68 & him29) on 15 8 1820 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She died on 25 1 1852 age77 mother of 9children. Thomas/Timothy (Tomkins/Thompkins)/Ekin/Britten) was born in 1794 & became a servant. He was tried for stealing, on 4 2 1813, a silver pint mug etc of William (Strong) at Old Bailey, sentenced to death commuted to Life, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 6 1813 after a voyage of 7months on FORTUNE; he was 5'7" fair ruddy complexion brown hair hazel eyes; he was assigned to Parramatta lumber yard. He perhaps was issued a Ticket of Leave on 13 12 1813. He left the lumberyard on 13 12 1817, with Ticket of Leave & description as honest & industrious. He bought 50acres at Castle Hill & later 40acres more becoming a neighbour of the (Kentwell)s. He sold the farm in July 1829 & died on 27 12 1829 age36 at Castle Hill; he was buried at St Johns CofE Parramatta.
