On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. Married William Titmus (aka Titmouse)10 June 1833 at St John's Church Launceston. Both were free. From 1834 to 1845 seven children born. Jane has been mentioned in many newspaper articles as being notorious and drunk and was continuously being brought up before the Court. Had an Irish temper. Died 19 July 1854 at Launceston. Inquest into her death found she did not by violent means by Apoplexy caused by interperence of Jane. Very colourful person
