3/7/1847 Leicester Journal Leicestershire, England: LEICESTERSHIRE MIDSUMMER QUARTER SESSIONS James Morrison, 37, was charged with stealing a lamb, the 20th of March, Nether the property Robert Payne; and John Morrison was charged with receiving the same, well knowing it to have been stolen. No ship found for John Morrison. James Morrison was listed as 48?? years old on arrival. Born 1802-1813 - his native place was Stoes near Milton Moastray. James was 5'9" tall, brown hair, grey eyes, fair complexion, mole on right thigh, could read and write, widowed with 8 children. Father: John, military Brothers: John, Thomas, Charles, Hugh, Samuel Sisters: Maria, Mary. 15/2/1853: TOL Feb. 1854: CP approved. 4/5/1853: Permission to marry Eliza Bevan (Aurora 1851) - Marriage registered at Hobart 30/5/1853. She was 25, a widow, and he was 37 a plumber. No children listed.
