George Moxham was listed as 29 years old on arrival in VDL. Born: near Thornbury. George was 5'5½" tall, dark brown hair, reddish brown whiskers, brown eyes, G.M. anchor & cable inside right wrist. Mermaid, man smoking, schooner, anchor & cable inside left arm, ring fore and mid fingers of left hand. "I am not Married, a woman named Moxett with whom I lived & had 2 children, said I was married to her, and came to me in Gaol", Single, 2 children. Then also listed as married. 1843: Free Certificate 6/5/1845: A George Maxham married Phoebe Goodyer, registered at Launceston.
