1829: Muster Roll – Peter Mulligan, 17th Regiment, 32 years old, 5’6” tall, fair hair, grey eyes, fresh complexion. Country: Ireland; no trade (New South Wales, Australia Convict Ship Muster Rolls and Related Records, 1790-1849; 1829; Guildford; images 10 & 19). Note: Image 32 of the Muster Roll document contains a copy of a letter from Charles Kendal Bushe, Lord Chief Justice of Ireland, which states that the General Regimental Court Martial at Richmond Barracks, Dublin, found Peter Mulligan’s offence not worthy of capital punishment and instead adjudged “the said Peter Mulligan to be transported as a felon for the term of seven years”. --0--
