Family connections for Ann (Murphy) may be: MURPHY Ann (Murphy) was tried at Surrey Quarter Sesions, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on one of the Fleet ships ACTIVE ALBEMARLE, ATLANTIC, BARRINGTON, BRITANNIA, MARY ANN, MATILDA, SALAMANDER & WILLIAM AND ANN. She, as Hannah (Murphy MARY ANN 1791) may have married John (Pawley) on 7 7 1792 at Sydney & produced 10children (marriage not recorded in Smees records). She was Free by Servitude by 1798. [Some details taken from this Website] John (Pawley) was born about 1764 & became a tailor. He was tried at Hicks Hall General Sessions Middlesex on 12 12 1788, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship ADMIRAL BARRINGTON. He was Free by Servitude by 1798. He died on 12/16 3/17 12 1825 age56 at Sydney & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney.
