Anne's Indent Record states "husband Henry is a prisoner in this Colony, from Co. Longford". It would appear to be this link http://www.convictrecords.com.au/convicts/boswell/henry/133689. Henry died, in hospital, 1846. Sister: Mary - at native place Brothers: - John, Thomas (..Regiment), Michael & Pat.

CHILDREN: Mary BOSWELL accompanied her mother, Anne MURPHY on the 'Blackfriar' 1851. Aged 6yrs, admitted to Queens Orphanage, New Town (nr Hobart) 3 June 1851 - this was a Govt. requirement for children to be admitted so that the mother was free for assigned work. Discharged to her mother's care 12 Nov 1855, now on a Ticket of Leave status. Left VDL to live in Victoria where she married and had a family. William BOSWELL accompanied his mother, Anne MURPHY on the 'Blackfriar' 1851. Aged 9 yrs. Admitted to Queens Orphan School, New Town, 3 June 1851. Discharged to his mother's care, now on Ticket of Leave status, 25 Sept 1855. Delivered of a child 10 Oct 1853, at Female Factory, Hobart. John MURPHY aged 1 yr - admitted to St. Johns (Queens) Orphanage, New Town (nr Hobart) 7 Jul 1854. Died 10 Dec 1854 - of fever. Father not named. (Ref. Orphan no. 4032 SWD6)

Anne Murphy (Boswell) was convicted at Tyrone, Ireland on 20 June 1850 for larceny - stealing money. Previously for stealing geese. 10yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Blackfriar' 1851. Married, 2 children (on board with her); aged 36yrs; housemaid; 5'2"; Roman Catholic. Native place - Co. Kerry, Ireland. Assignment of servitude work services in the Colony.
