The Convict Indenture states that Catherine Murphy was 26 years old. She could read; religion Roman Catholic; status single with one daughter and a native of Carlow. She was a nursery maid. Catherine was convicted of stealing clothes at Kildare in 27 March 1837 and sentenced to 7 years. She had one prior convictions and served 6 months. Physical attributes: Height 4 feet 8 inches; complexion pale; hair dark brown and eyes dark grey. Transport number 32. Prisoner number 32. Received Certificate of Freedom in 1844 (44/1402).
