DOB year - changed to date in her prison/convict records rather than death registration.
When her adult children moved to near Elmore in Victoria Ellen appears to have moved with them as she was a widow. From her death certificate Ellen died in 1899 Campaspe, Victoria and is buried in the Runnymede Cemetery. She didn't keep her 7 years in Tasmania a secret as her son-in-law was able to include her time in Tasmania on her death certificate.. Along with the details of her first marriage and 2 children back in Ireland. She provided a letter that indicated her husband had died while in custody and was a widow when left Ireland for Tasmania in April 1842.

Firstly,The data supplied by contributor D.Wong:I can confirm is correct. Ellen came out with Ellen Talbot,convict.They were both sent to Cascades womens factory prison.The two Ellens married two convict brothers,John and Jeremiah Dale,at a double wedding at C.of E. at Battery Point,Hobart,on 8/9/1845.The church is still there in use today. When free,John and Ellen took the giant paddle steamer,the "Kangaroo",to the mainland,offloading near Portland,at a bay now called Bridgewater bay.Family legend has it,and I believe it to be true,that Jeremiah and his wife Ellen,came with them and changed their name,disappearing without trace as far as I know.John and Ellen now have a great many descendants,probably over a thousand,including my wife,born 1946,who is Ellens great great granddaughter.Ellen and John worked on a few farms after "Muntham"station,and prospected for gold. The gold rush was on.John prospected for a few years up to about 1856 around Jones creek.It's not known if they struck it lucky, or what, but they finally settled on a farm near Tylden in 1860.In 1866,John,aged 52,got thrown from a horse and died from a fractured skull.

Ellen was married to William Murphy and had 2 children, they seem to have been left behind in Ireland. Ellen produced a letter on board, stating her husband was dead. Ellen was quiet and orderly on the voyage, she was 5'5" tall, 28 years old, could not read or write and was widowed. 24/12/1844: TOL 4/7/1848: CP 1845: Married John Dale (Eden 1836) he was free. They had 2 children in Tasmania then moved to Muntham Station in South West Victoria and had another child there. They then moved to the Trentham and Kyneton area in Victoria. 1899: Ellen died in Campaspe.
