The 1825 Journey. The ship Mariner, Captain Fotherley, arrived from Ireland with female prisoners, on Sunday evening. She left the Cove of Cork, the 12th of March, and brings 112 female prisoners, having lost only one on the passage. A few passengers also came per this opportunity. John Murphy, Mary Murphy, and Julia Geary, were severally indicted for stealing lamb and a sheep the property of John Barry.—There was no evidence to convict the female prisoners, who were accordingly acquitted, Murphy, in whose possession the property was discovered, was found Guilty, and sentenced to be transported for 7 years.  Cork Constitution, 3 Aug 1826.
