Judith Murphy was indicted for stealing wearing apparel, the property of Edward Esq. Robert Tomlins, sworn : l am servant to Col. Wildman, and  lost the articles in question on the night of the 13th July out of the Barracks; I found livery coat at Alexander’s pawn office in Blackpool. I got some of the articles at the Bridewell. John Manning, sworn : The drab livery  coat now produced was brought to the office where I do business to pawn, and I detained it. The prisoner said she got the coat from another girl to pledge. Guilty, To be transported for seven years. Cork Constitution, 24 Aug 1830. Permission to Marry. James Leonard, per Prince Regent (3), age 31; 7 years; Free; and Judith Murphy, per Palambam, age 25; 7 years, Bond; Date and Place of permission: 31 Aug 1835, Sydney. NSW BMD Marriage Reg: 234/1835. Family connections for Judith (Murphy) are: MURPHY ??? (Murphy) & ??? (???) produced perhaps 2children: 1.Judith (Murphy) was born about 1810 in Cork Ireland & became a housemaid. She was tried for robbery at Cork Ireland in 1830, sentenced to 7years, sufferred dysentey before while waiting transportation & arrived in NSW as a convict on 31 7 1831 after a voyage of 4months on PALAMBAN. She received permission to marry James (Leonard) on 31 8 1835 at Sydney. ..[Some details taken from this Website] ..James (Leonard/Lennard) was born about 1804 & became a ploughman. He was tried at Dublin city in 1823, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 15 7 1824 after a voyage of 5months on PRINCE REGENT; he was sent to Liverpool for assignment. She was tried for stealing a cloak at Cork city Ireland in March 1831, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW on 27 9 1831 after a voyage of 3months on HOOGHLEY; she was Catholic 5'3.25" ruddy fair freckled complexion brown hair blue to grey eyes. She married Daniel (Shea). He was employed at some time by Mr (Douglas). He was issued his Certificates of Freedom No.31/631on 17 6 1831 at which time he was recorded as having broken his right leg.
