Source: Ireland- Australia Transportation Database. Petition. No PPC 3084 Petitioner, Patrick Murphy, convict, tried Naas, Co. Kildare, for sheep stealing, transportation 7 years. imprisonment place, Hulk in Dublin. Convict was convicted with his wife for the same crime. Petitioning for permission to be sent with his wife and to live together when they arrive in Australia, wife is detained in Naas, gaol. States he served 8 years in the army, Petition received 8 May 1827. His wife was Anne Murphy, who arrived per Elizabeth II in 1828. 1828 Census Index.
