Maria MURRAY was convicted at the CCC, London on 18 Sept 1848 for burglary. 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Stately' arriving 2 Sept 1849. Single girl; aged 17yrs; housemaid; Protestant; can read; 5'3". Native Place - Peter Square (or Street), London. Placed in various services of work. Some notes of misconduct. Time spent at the Female House of Correction, Hobart. 13 Sept 1853: Ticket of Leave granted. 24 Sept 1855: Certificate of Freedom
