Life in gaol and transportation to Van Dieman's Land (Tasmania). He was convicted for Sheep Stealing and had a prior conviction for assault (one month's gaol). Lept on the Leviathan at Portsmouth until transported on the August Jessie on the 27th Sep 1834. Robert became Constable Police Barracks but was found drunk on duty and then drunk in public spaces many times after that. His wife Mary Hagon and children came to Australia to be with him and once he was free they all moved to Victoria.
