Family connections for William (Nash) are: NASH William (Nash) was born about 1779/83. He was tried at Hertford Assizes on 6 3 1797, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 18 5 1798 after a voyage of 8months on BARWELL-on which he created trouble. He is recorded in 1806 as renting 30acres & living with Jane (Oharra) convict as housekeeper (probably assigned). He was Free by Servitude by 1811. He is recorded as a landholder at Windsor in 1814 & in 1822 & 1825 as a labourer in Sydney. in December 1825 he was granted part of 25acres at Mulgrave Place Hawkesbury. He was a labourer in 1826. In 1828 he is recorded with 40acres at Lower Portland Head. He was recorded in 1829 as a farmer & in 1830 as a dealer. [Some details taken from this Website] Ann (Hubbard) was born in 1790. Convicted at Hertford Assizes, 6 Mar 1797, sentenced to seven years transportation, William Nash left England with 184 other convicts aboard the Barwell which departed Portsmouth on 6 November 1797, and arrived Sydney on 18 May 1798. He was age 19 according to the convict indent. Barwell, Ship's Log 18 November 1797: WILLIAM NASH 1 dozen lashes for stealing 3 pillows out of the Hospital. Residence: 1806 Muster: William Nash; Rents land from James Dunn; Total: 30 acres; 7 acres wheat, 7 acres maize, 2 acres barley, 10 acres pasture, 4 acres fallow, 1 bushel wheat 1 bushel maize 1 bushel barley held, 4 male hogs 4 female hogs; Jane Oharra, (Arrived per ship Sugar Cane), Prisoner; Housekeeper. 1 Proprietor off stores, 1 woman off stores Marriage 7 August 1810 to Ann Hubbard at St Matthews, Windsor by Rev.
