Catherine was one of four women convicted of arson on March 20 1850, Anne Whelan was transported on Black Friar, the rest on Duke of Cornwall.Anne and Catherine received 15 years, the other two life. Catherine was five foot one inch tall, light brown hair, fair complexion, single. Catherine could read and had two previous convictions.
