Newspaper report from Edinburgh Evening Post and Scottish Standard 25 July 1846 HIGH COURT OF JUSTICIARY TUESDAY JULY 21 1846 Helen Hastie, Janet Anderson, and Sarah Nelson were accused of robbing William Donn, mason, in a house in Burnet's Close of a silver watch, some money, and other articles, and having been found guilty, they were sentenced to seven years transportation.
