I believe that William was my gtx3 uncle. Born in Kingsbury Episcopi, Somerset, England (son of Thomas and Mary Nevill) Last recidence - Westport, Somerset, England Had previously been indicted and convicted in 1847 of stealing and carrying away a door and sentanced to 14 days imprisonment and hard labour at Wilton House of Correction. With 4 others, stole geese and fowl on 7 or 8 February and 9 or 10 February 1849. Appeared before a JP in Langport, Somerset on 12 February 1849. Sentenced to 7 years at Quarter Sessions.(Others sentenced to less than 1 year) Height 5'0" (in 1849) height - 5'5" (in 1851) Fresh / fair complexion, blue eyes, light brown hair, scar on forehead, round face, healthy build, single. Held in Portland Prison prior to voyage. Good behaviour in prison quarter ending 1851 Granted ticket of leave on arrival (14 October 1851) Granted conditional pardon 6 Aug 1853
