Indents: conviction 5 March 1791 Free Settler or Felon website has good detail of voyage with an outbreak of Small Pox on board. Many deaths & 120 male convicts were ill when they arrived in Port Jackson. https://www.freesettlerorfelon.com/convict_ship_pitt_1792.htm

Joseph Newman died in Sydney nine days after the Pitt arrived in Sydney Cove. He was buried in Sydney on the same day. Source: Cobley (1965), Sydney Cove; 1791-1792
