Trial 13 Jan 1847 ar Armagh IRE for cow stealing Family: mother Jane; brother Thomas; sisters Mary, Anne & Sally all at Armagh. He stated that his wife (not named) "died about 2 back, a few days after I was tried" Desc: aged 32 from Armagh IRE, widower with 1 child, 5'4.5" tall, illiterate, Church of England TOL 3 Feb 1849 Certificate of Freedom 1854 Permission to marry 24 Dec 1850 & requested again 10 May 1853 - Catherine lnee Wallace) Brown (Stately 1849). She already had a child born 1851 whilst working in the Ross Female Factory. Nicholas & Catherine married 1 Aug 1853 in Oatlands & had 4 children together. They settled at Oatlands. Died 27 Dec 1891 at Launceston of senility
